Terms of service

These terms govern ByteDel's services. Written to be read: short sections, plain language, and the guarantee spelled out precisely. A signed proposal or statement of work takes precedence over this page where they differ.

The services

ByteDel provides DevOps and cloud infrastructure consulting: fixed-price projects (such as the Infra & Cost Audit, Cloud Launch Package, and SOC 2-Ready Infrastructure) and the monthly Fractional DevOps retainer. Every engagement gets a written scope, price, and timeline before work starts. Payment is for expertise, engineering work, and deliverables — except where this page states an explicit guarantee, no specific business outcome is promised.

The audit guarantee, precisely

The Infra & Cost Audit carries this guarantee: if the delivered audit report does not identify at least $10,000 per year in combined findings — annualized cost-saving opportunities (with our dollar estimates) plus quantified risk findings — the audit fee is refunded in full.

  • The measure is the delivered report: the sum of its estimated annual savings and its severity-ranked risk findings.
  • To claim it, email team@bytedel.com within 14 days of receiving the report. Refunds are processed within 7 business days.
  • The guarantee applies once per company, and requires the access needed to perform the audit (read-only, as scoped).
  • Estimates are professional judgments made in good faith; whether you implement the findings is up to you, and realized savings depend on implementation.

Retainer terms

The Fractional DevOps retainer bills monthly in advance at the published price. One active request at a time from your queue; typical turnaround 2–3 business days; a written update every Friday. You can pause or cancel effective the end of the current billing month — no notice period beyond that, no cancellation fee. Response target is within 4 business hours; we are a senior solo practice and do not provide staffed 24/7 on-call, and we say so rather than pretend otherwise.

Payment

Fixed-price projects: as stated in the proposal (typically part on start, part on delivery). Invoices are due within 14 days unless agreed otherwise. Prices exclude any taxes your jurisdiction requires you to withhold or add.

You own the work

On payment, everything we build for you — Terraform, pipelines, dashboards, documentation — belongs to you, delivered in your repositories and your cloud accounts. We retain ownership only of our pre-existing tools, templates, and general know-how, which we may reuse across clients in forms that carry nothing confidential of yours.

Confidentiality and access

We treat everything about your infrastructure and business as confidential, use access only for the engagement, and support immediate revocation — since work happens in your accounts, cutting our access takes you one click. Limits

Beyond the explicit audit guarantee, services are provided without warranties of specific outcomes. Our total liability for any engagement is capped at the fees you paid for that engagement. Neither of us is liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

The boring rest

These terms are governed by the laws of India unless a signed agreement says otherwise. If a court finds part of this page unenforceable, the rest stands. Material changes to these terms move the date at the top — no silent edits. Questions: team@bytedel.com.
